What seems to be emerging is an awareness of a bigger subject in Las Vegas, that of pure fun, beyond the familiar context of gaming and play. Painting thus goes snooping through the subconscious, surprised by some components of the soft palate of familiar images cut from a magazine. Consciously starry‐eyed minors gathering inspiration from women with flawless jewelry and the poetic ideal of Fengshui, while treasuries of photos fill her imagination with recalled dreams and nightmares of unnaturally thin leaves of butterflies painted in detail and with exquisite accuracy. Surrealists cast the spell of modern aesthetics as they naturally found it in magazine and billboard advertising. The consumerist tendency in women’s fashion often does not coincide with that strange mouth‐to‐mouth adornment and object size, as if it had a meaning or purpose in its composition, and each piece was a reference to one’s very own fable.
